National Assembly Ends Work of Regular Sittings

At October 28 NA sitting, the RA Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) Ashot Muradyan presented the draft law on Ratifying the Protocol on Amending the Agreement of 1994 April 15 on Cooperation and Mutual Assistance in Customs Affairs for debate.

The protocol was signed in Dushanbe, 2018. The aim is to promote the development and acceleration of passenger and freight transportation through the cooperation of the customs bodies of the member states of the agreement in the field of customs affairs.

The cooperation and mutual assistance within the framework of the document will be carried out to improve the regulation of customs relations related to the transportation of goods and vehicles across the customs border, to ensure compliance with customs legislation, to prevent, find out and investigate customs offences, to exchange experience in different ways in the field of customs affairs.

Our country signed the document in a special opinion, because Azerbaijan signed it with reservation.

Narek Ghahramanyan voiced about the endorsement of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs.

The Head of the RA Cadastre Committee Suren Tovmasyan presented the draft law on Making Amendments and Addenda to the Law on Geodesy and Cartography for debate in the first reading. It is envisaged to add subchapter related to the spatial data infrastructure in the law. Issues referring to the collection, storage, processing, dissemination and provision of spatial data will be regulated.

According to the Head of the RA Cadastre Committee Suren Tovmasyan, the amendments are aimed to ensure data accessibility, to collect the information kept in different state bodies and communities, to make compact and precise conclusion based on it.

The member of the NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Tsovinar Vardanyan highlighted the provision of the spatial data and the services availability through the national geoportal. The Head Committee endorsed it.

The parliament adopted the legislative initiatives debated during the day by voting.

Covering the agenda, the National Assembly ended the work of the regular sittings.
